Bhumi Pednekar is born on 18 July 1989 (age 30) Bombay, Maharashtra, India. Her mother Sumitra Pednekar is a Hariyanvi and her Father Satish Pednekar is a Marathi.
She has a twin sister called Samiksha Pednekar who is working as a lawyer.

Bhumi studied at Arya Vidya Mandir in Juhu Mumbai. Later she tries to complete her graduation in Communication and media arts, Mumbai but lack of attendance she failed to complete. Then she completed B.COM from the University of Mumbai.
Even though she was good at studies, she failed in Physics subject in class 7th.
Inspiring Story Of Bhumi and Acting Career
Bhumi always wanted to be an actor and at the age of 16 only, she joined Subhash Ghai acting school. And at the age of 18, she applied for the Yash Raj Films post and selected as Casting Director under Shanu Sharma.
She worked as an Assistant Casting Director in Chak DE India, Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year and Teen Patti.
Later in 2014, She auditioned for the Dum Laga Ke Hiasa Aand got selected opposite to Ayushman Khurana. For this film, Bhumi Gaines about 25KG weight and after the film she lost the 27KG weight. The film got a lot of critics and she won her First Filmfare was for the Best Female Debut.
Later she appeared in Man’s World Web Series.
After a year gap, Bhumi made her comeback with Shree Narayan Singh’s directorial debut Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), alongside Akshay Kumar. The film was blockbuster and god good response from the audience.
The same year she again paired with Ayushman Khurrana in comedy-drama film Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2017). The film was commercially successful and Bhumi Pednekar got her first nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

Now this year Bhumi paired with Sushant Singh Rajput in Abhishek Chaubey’s crime drama Sonchiriya. Here at this film, She played the role of Indumati, a young housewife on the run in rural Chambal.
Later she acted in sharpshooter Chandro Tomar in Tushar Hiranandani‘s biographical film Saand Ki Aankh alongside Taapsee Pannu.
Bhumi paired third time with Ayushman for Bala film. The film was successful in the box office and later she acted in Pati Patni Aur Woh co-starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday. Even though the film was a remake of the 1978 film under a similar title, it was successful.
Bhumi Pednekar has signed a lot of films including Karan Johar’s horror production Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship opposite to Vicky Kaushal, Alankrita Shrivastava’s comedy Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare alongside Konkona Sen Sharma.
